Whenever I put a mid and high torque turbo charger on the BRZ I lose all exhaust sound. I get engine sound out of the front, but nothing comes out of the back even with a full racing exhaust. This isn't a case of it trying to "simulate" the muffled sound effect that turbos give cars.
I tried it on the FR-S and I didn't lose the exhaust.

I get it all the time in just about every car i drive.. not just turbo cars, everything from time to time..

Their sound engine is a disaster. At some point I lost all sound altogether and had to reset the game.

I might give it a try tonight.
Also, I do like how some cars have more power in mid-torque turbo setups than high.
Not that I use them. Low for me!

My FR-S does this, as do a few other cars that I can't name off-hand. It seems to correct itself if I let the RPMs drop below a certain point. So, I end up short-shifting at the start of a race until the exhaust sound comes on, then drive as normal.

Yup, any and all cars seem to randomly get this glitch. I start a race and all I hear is transmission whine, then all of a sudden (usually following a bump) the engine noise chimes in.

In my situation it never comes on. No matter what I do.

Didn't you know, that's what happens to the ToyoBaru IRL...
